Encyclopedias
All Internet use during school hours must be school related.

Students who violate this rule may lose their privilege to use Library computers

Encyclopedias have always been a good source for background or overview information on a variety of topics. Electronic encyclopedias have the added advantage of being able to hyperlink you to broader, narrower, or related topics. Here are some to try:

Grolier Encyclopedia (includes three different encyclopedias, plus a science encyclopedia)
Encyclopedia Britannica (no advertisements; enhanced features)
Encyclopedia Britannica (free version, with ads)
