Evaluation is important as you 1) look at your finished project and 2) reflect on the process you followed to complete the project.

When you look at your finished project, if it is for school, try to see it through your teacher's eyes. Did you accomplish the TASK as it was defined by the teacher? Did you take care to polish everything? Sometimes a RUBRIC (checklist of expectations) will help you to evaluate the product.

As you reflect on the process you followed to complete the project, think through the steps of the Big6 (on the buttons above). Did you have difficulty with one particular step? Maybe you didn't use the right kinds of sources to solve the information problem (Information Seeking); maybe you took poor notes (Information Use); maybe you had trouble putting all the pieces into a finished project (synthesis).

The point is, if you can identify where you had trouble you can go back and work on that step until you're happy with the results. ASK FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT!

You'll end up with a project you can cheer about!
